Judge Barch is the initially assigned judge for all civil cases filed in Boone County. His current docket includes all Probate and Guardianship (“P”) cases, Dissolution and Parentage (“D” and “F”) cases, Foreclosures (“CH” cases); Small Claims (“SC”) cases, Arbitration (“AR”) cases, Law Division (“L”) cases and all other non-criminal and non-juvenile cases (e.g. TX, MR, AD). Judge Barch is not the initially assigned judge for IDHFS non-support cases or for hearings on plenary orders of protection in Boone County.
Court Schedule: The civil jury week in Boone County is generally the first full calendar week of every month. During the civil jury week, there are no regularly scheduled court calls. In the event that no case set for a jury trial proceeds during the civil jury week, Judge Barchmay specially set bench trials, hearings and/or pre-trial conferences.

During non-jury weeks, the Judge Barch's general court schedule is as follows:

The Standing Orders are available to be viewed and printed at the links below, and copies will be made available in Courtroom 3 and 4 for review. All parties and all counsel with cases pending in Courtroom 3 and 4 are charged with notice of each Standing Order and are responsible for reviewing, obtaining copies of and complying with each Order that does or may relate to any matter the party or attorney has pending in Courtroom 3 and 4.
